Power has been restored to the upper Eyre Peninsula.
Whyalla was brought online late this afternoon. Power has since been restored to Cleve and west to Wudinna.
Ground patrols are continuing on the line between Cleve and Port Lincoln, to identify a fault which became evident after an earlier attempt to restore it.
Weather permitting, aerial surveys of the lines north to Leigh Creek and the Roxby township will commence first thing tomorrow morning.
There are still severe weather warnings current for areas of the state, which may affect restoration efforts.
SA Police and State Emergency Services are working hard in the field to ensure public safety. Anyone who sees damaged powerlines or fallen infrastructure should stay well clear and report them to ElectraNet on 08 8404 7966.
