The restoration of damaged transmission lines in the state’s Mid North is nearly complete.
ElectraNet expects one of the damaged circuits will be back up by tomorrow, provided weather conditions remain stable. Another circuit will follow a few days later.
Multiple crews have been working in the field near Melrose to erect temporary towers and restring transmission lines.
Additional crews continue to work in the field near Blyth to strengthen the underlying network. This work is expected to be completed within the next week.
The safety of the public, staff and contractors remains ElectraNet’s priority.
