The South Australian side of Project EnergyConnect (PEC) has reached its first practical completion milestone, with the diversion of the Canowie Mokota and transmission lines.

Monopoles that were installed in February this year were successfully strung and connected to the augmented works at the Robertstown Substation that Consolidated Power Projects (CPP) undertook for ElectraNet.

PEC Project Manager, Jaspal Singh, said, “The four new monopoles facilitate the diversion of the Mokota and Canowie transmission lines onto Gantry C05 and C07 at Robertstown.”

“The work has been completed well ahead of the contractual date and CPP are now progressing well with other works at Robertstown and its associated remote ends.

“I’d like to give a big kudos to all the team involved within ElectraNet and our contractor CPP on achieving this milestone,” Jaspal said.

Work is continuing along the interconnector route, with the installation of tower footings.
