Maintaining Reliable Electricity Supply to Port Lincoln
Project Overview
The Electricity Transmission Code (ETC) service standards, which came into effect on 1 July 2008, require that ElectraNet restores equivalent transmission line capacity to supply 100% of the Agreed Maximum Demand (AMD) at the Port Lincoln Connection Point within one hour of an interruption.
This development established a 10-year network support services agreement for the provision of Port Lincoln-based generation support, purchased additional land adjacent the existing Port Lincoln substation, and established a new
33 kV bus at Port Lincoln for the purpose of connecting the additional generation.
