Transmission power supply has now been restored to Port Lincoln and the Lower Eyre Peninsula after damage to the Eyre Peninsula transmission line was successfully repaired.
Maintenance crews have repaired a storm damaged transmission tower near Tumby Bay, allowing the line to be re-energised and continuous supply to be restored.
SA Power Networks will now progressively restore power to their customers as it is safe to do so.
After consultation with SA Power Networks, we understand that sufficient transmission network connection points have now been restored and energised, to enable them to supply their residential customers around the state.
Some large industrial customers still remain without power.
We understand the inconvenience of being without power and appreciate the patience South Australians have shown as we have restored the network, during this widespread and unprecedented weather event.
Additional information on the wider storm recovery effort is available from the South Australian disaster recovery line on 1800 302 787.
Further updates will be provided as they become available.
