Transmission supply has been restored to Leigh Creek and Pimba this afternoon, after patrols confirmed the lines supplying power to the far north regions were safe to re-energise.

Repairs to the damaged Lower Eyre Peninsula transmission line are still underway, and are anticipated to be completed this evening.

Repair crews will continue to work on it until supply is restored.

Partial supply to Port Lincoln and surrounds was achieved throughout the morning, but issues with back-up generation meant the supply was not continuous.

ElectraNet is fully committed to ensuring power is restored to all areas of the state as quickly and safely as possible.

SA Police and State Emergency Services are working hard in the field to ensure public safety. Anyone who sees damaged powerlines or fallen infrastructure should stay well clear and report them to ElectraNet on 08 8404 7966.

Additional information on the wider storm recovery effort is available from the South Australian disaster recovery line on 1800 302 787.

Further updates will be provided as they become available.
