Procedures and systems for the management of potential environmental impacts are well established within ElectraNet. For example, our organisation's environmental policy provides a framework to ensure that environmental considerations are included in the planning, design and construction and operational phases of all business activities.

During the 2006–07 financial years we recorded zero breaches to the South Australian Environment Protection Act and regulations under the Act.
ElectraNet is an active participant in the Federal Government’s Greenhouse Challenge Plus Programme and provide annual progress reports to the Greenhouse Office on emission data within the business.
For the past six years we have been a proud supporter of Trees for Life, which supplies up to two million local native plant seedlings per year for revegetating farms and parks throughout South Australia.
Amongst other initiatives, Aboriginal Heritage issues are key considerations in ElectraNet's drive to maintain sound management practices and procedures.
