Environmental Action

On a global scale, we are actively involved in facing the challenges of climate change and remain committed to reducing our company’s impact on the planet. Some of the ways we do this include:

 

  • Investigating options to make our company carbon neutral

  • Contributing to the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) Scheme

  • Representing the energy sector in the State Government’s environment consultation group

  • Supporting transmission connections with more environmentally-friendly energy technologies such as geothermal, windfarms and solar power

  • Introducing programs to educate staff about ElectraNet’s environmental responsibilities and issues that impact on the business

  • Encouraging staff to decrease their personal impact on the planet.
