  • Hastings Funds Management (19.94%) – as responsible entity of the Hastings Utilities Trust
  • Macquarie Specialist Asset Management Limited (5.45%) – as trustee for the ElectraNet Trust on behalf of UniSuper.

ElectraNet’s Executive Management

Chief Executive, Ian Stirling

Chief Executive, Ian StirlingAppointed Chief Executive Officer of ElectraNet during August 2002, Ian first joined ElectraNet SA in December 1999 as Chief Financial Officer, and from May 2001 led the team dedicated to preparing the Revenue Cap Application to the ACCC.

Ian has been in the electricity industry for over 20 years and is highly experienced in business strategy, financial management, and business improvement and performance management. He has worked in all sectors of the electricity industry including generation, transmission and distribution and brings a wealth of understanding on the issues facing the industry and customers.

Throughout his career, Ian has provided leadership and strategic advice in a number of areas spanning Treasury (including bank syndicate negotiation and acquisition debt refinancing), business and financial planning, accounting, information technology, taxation, contract and commercial risk management, and human resources.  Ian’s previous positions have included Chief Financial Officer at PowerNet Victoria and later GPU PowerNet Pty Ltd following its privatisation.

Ian holds a Bachelor of Business with a double major in Accounting and Law qualification, and is a Certified Practicing Accountant.

Executive Manager Finance and Corporate Development, Geoff Teitzel

Executive Manager Finance and Corporate Development, Geoff TeitzelGeoff Teitzel is responsible for financial control, procurement, information systems, business development and human resources.

Twelve of Geoff’s eighteen years spent in senior finance management, were with two top 50 Australian public companies. During that time, Geoff successfully established a wide range of innovative international and domestic funding and taxation arrangements, and is considered a specialist in leasing arrangements.

Holding tertiary qualifications in accounting, Geoff is a Member of the Australian Society of CPAs and a Fellow of the Finance and Treasury Association (FTA). Geoff was the recipient of the National Excellence in Treasury Award from the FTA during 2000.

Executive Manager Assets and Operations, Gavin Brennan

Executive Manager Assets and Operations,  Gavin BrennanGavin Brennan was appointed as Executive Manager Asset Maintenance during April 2000. Appointed in December 2002 as Executive Manager Assets and Operations, Gavin has the responsibilities of asset management strategy, network maintenance, provision of operational control services to network customers, and management of the day to day operation of the network.

Gavin has both electrical trade and tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, an Advanced Certificate in Management from the University of Adelaide and over 20 years experience in all aspects of the South Australian electricity industry including generation, transmission and distribution.

Executive Manager Development and Projects, Greg Rice

Executive Manager Development and  Projects, Greg RiceGreg Rice has almost 30 years of experience across the South Australian electricity industry and more than 15 years operating at senior management level.

Greg has extensive experience in transmission design, construction maintenance and contract management.

As Executive Manager Development & Projects Greg is responsible for implementing ElectraNet’s network capital program including development planning approvals, engineering, project management, construction and commissioning.

Group Manager – Regulation and Corporate Services, Rainer Korte

Group Manager – Regulation and Corporate Services, Rainer KorteRainer is responsible for ElectraNet's regulatory affairs including revenue regulation, engagement with regulatory authorities and Government policy advisers, managing the impact of National Electricity Market developments and regulated transmission pricing. He is also responsible for business improvement, risk management and insurance, internal audit, environmental management, occupational health, safety and welfare, media and communications and facilities management.

Rainer has more than twenty years experience in the electricity industry with a background in regulatory management, market development, project management, power system analysis and control systems design. Immediately prior to taking up his current role in July 2008, Rainer was responsible for ElectraNet's revenue proposal to the Australian Energy Regulator for the 5-year regulatory period commencing 1 July 2008.
