Property condition assessments ensure contractors engaged by ElectraNet assess pre-construction conditions and ensure property conditions are rehabilitated to original state.
ElectraNet operates under a duty of care to easement Landowners.
Ongoing management of easement areas is handled in a similar fashion.
ElectraNet will address Landowners who have cause for legitimate complaint, regarding construction activity impacts upon their property.
When commencing new projects, ElectraNet always seeks to locate any new powerlines in a way that aims to reduce inconvenience to affected owners while minimising impact on the environment.
In achieving these outcomes, ElectraNet applies the highest priority to establishing open relationships with affected property owners and communities – building trust and working together to create practical, hands-on solutions.
Annual Aerial Line Inspections
As part of our routine maintenance program, ElectraNet undertakes regular inspections of its overhead transmission lines by helicopter. Undertaking these precautionary inspections aerially assists us in maintaining the network so as to reduce the possibility of supply interruptions and ensure the maximum protection and safety of the public.
Flights are scheduled between the hours of 7.00am and 5.00pm during July to November 2010 along all major transmission lines across the State, including:
