Construction Management

ElectraNet’s projects vary in size and complexity.

ElectraNet adopts best industry practice in acting prudently in the planning and siting of new transmission assets within communities across the state.

For areas which have weed infestations, or host native flora and/or fauna – or surface and groundwater assets – our Environmental Management Plans (EMP) ensure full risk assessments as well as best-practice management by our contractors.

Cultural heritage planning is included in the EMPs, to ensure protection of sensitive locations and habitats.

Our Contractor’s Construction Management Plans analyse and develop strategies within the following areas:

  • Emergency Management

  • Fire Management

  • Flora and fauna protection including vegetation clearance

  • General weed and pest control

  • Noise Management

  • Protection of sites of Aboriginal and European cultural heritage

  • Site Access Management

  • Solid Waste Management

  • Water Quality Protection / Erosion and Sediment Control
