Asset Maintenance

As part of our routine maintenance program, ElectraNet undertakes regular aerial inspections of our state's overhead transmission lines by helicopter.

There are also occasions where our contractors will require access to the transmission line easements by 4WD vehicle for cyclic vegetation clearances.

If there is a critical fault on a transmission line, our contractors may require access to the transmission line at short notice to carry out the necessary repair work. In these emergency situations it may not be practical for us or our contractor to provide formal written notification prior to entering the easement.

Asset ugrade works may also be required which would constitute a new development. Refer to Easement Management.
